Hi, I'm Christa!

I am a photographer with an affinity for the seaside, golden hour light at the beach, and capturing the moments that matter most.
The coast has always been home. I grew up in a small seaside town south of Boston and later went to school in Rhode Island, where the beach was quite literally my backyard. Part of my regular routine entailed rushing over to the beach before sunset to capture the soft warm glow of golden hour light and cotton candy skies. This dreamy backdrop is one of my favorites for the way it encapsulates a bit of magic and ease.
My love for photography originated during my middle school years, in about 6th grade, when I got my first DSLR camera. From that moment on, I was the documenting everything -- from family trips to Nantucket, to spontaneous photoshoots with my siblings and friends. By high school, I was enrolled in every photography class offered, and was lucky enough to learn to shoot and develop black-and-white film in the darkroom, which quickly became my happy place. Watching an image I snapped from a moment in time slowly appear on paper by my creation felt like a moment of bliss. While I still enjoy shooting film, digital photography has become by go-to medium lately.
These days, I enjoy photographing people and meaningful moments -- portraits, families and pets, engagements, baby announcements, and all the wonderful moments in between.
My goal is to capture organic moments and create photos that feel joyful, relaxed, and true to self -- photos that memorialize connection, laughter, and maybe a bit of sunset chasing.
